Staying with a family is an appealing alternative to staying in a hotel for an extended period. Moreover, this type of accommodation is easier to organize than finding an apartment for a short period of time.
The family will meet you at the airport or train station and provide you with useful information, allowing you to get your bearings. This is the ideal opportunity to experience and to adjust to the local way of life and to make new acquaintances.
The families are selected in line with your needs, taking into account the host’s availability, cleanliness, comfort, location, your profile, the length of the stay, any specific requirements, interests and so on and so forth.
Housing several universities (over 60,000 students), located on the Mediterranean Sea, not to mention all of the cultural and sporting activities, Montpellier attracts students not only from all over France, but from all around the world, hence its reputation for being a vibrant metropolitan city.
It’s not always easy finding somewhere to live in Montpellier, especially if you’re not in the town itself.
Staying with a family allows you to find your feet and to get a feel for the town, affording you the time to find the ideal place. In addition to having your own bedroom, you will have a postal address (essential for opening bank accounts etc), help and advice from the family, as well access to all the home comforts: washing machine, bathroom etc.
By committing to the family on a weekly basis, you can leave more or less as soon as you have found somewhere

It’s easy to get to by car (A9 motor-way), by train (3.5 hours from Paris), and by plane (International Airport of Montpellier Mediterranean), and is an ideal starting point to discover the wonders of the south of France.
You will have your own bedroom and can dine with the family for every meal should this take your fancy, thus having the perfect opportunity to practice your French and to experience la culture française, whatever or your age or level.
